Cancer Screening - Testicular Cancer

Testicular cancer is not a very common cancer, however it is the most common cancer in men between the ages of 20 and 45. It can almost always be treated successfully. Testicular cancer starts in the cells of the testicle. The testicles are the 2 male organs found in the loose skin sac (scrotum) at the base of the penis. They produce sperm and male sex hormones (testosterone).

What you can do:

  • Be aware of any changes with your testicles
  • Report any changes to your doctor as soon as possible.

The Canadian Cancer Society recommends:

  • All men aged 15 or over should check their testicles regularly.
