Cancer Prevention - Nutrition - Eat For Health

Research shows about 30% of all cancer is related to what we eat. Eating a diet high in vegetables and fruits reduces the risk of many types of cancer such as: mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, colon and rectum.

What you can do:

  • Eat 5 or more servings of vegetables and fruits every day. The more colourful the vegetable or fruit (e.g. dark orange, dark green) the more protective nutrients it has.
  • Eat fiber-rich foods like beans and whole grain breads, cereals, rice and pasta. Click here to go back...
  • Eat less fat and limit salt.
